Start an application at IRCC website. You can use the same account that you`ve registered for your Work Permit renewal
Click Apply to come to Canada
Click Visitor visa, study and/or work permit
Note: please indicate the date of birth of your child (not yours)
Have your child lived in Canada as a permament resident or landed immigrant?
Is your child a lawful permanent resident of the United States?
What is the current immigration status of your child in Canada?
Marital status and the province of living of your child
Choose "No" if you are the legal parent and have a full custody of your child
Family member in Canada
Enter Expiry Date of your child`s current Visitor Record
IRCC medical exam of your child
Choose "No" if your child have not left Canada for more than six months in the past year
Choose "No"
Application fee
Digital copy of your child documents
Review your answers and click Continue
Application to Change Conditions, Extend My Stay or Remain in Canada as a Visitor or Temporary Resident Permit Holder: IMM 5708
Click it. Then press "Download" in the upper right corner of your browser.
Open it using Adobe Acrobat Reader (for example)

Go back to your IRCC account page, click Upload File and upload IMM5708 that you`ve completed
Supporting documents: upload your child`s passport
Supporting documents: upload your Proof of Means of Financial Support. It could be your bank statements for the past four months, pay stubs, an employment letter, tax report
Supporting documents: upload your child`s photo
Supporting documents: Family Member Proof of Status: upload your own current Work Permit
Leave the section "Optional documents" empty
Select "I agree", enter your full name, enter the answer for the security question and click "Sign" for the Visitor Record application
